The Magic: The Gathering Invitational is the all-star event of the Magic trading card game. The sixteen top players in the world have been invited to play in a special tournament in which they play against each of the other competitors in one of five formats. The champion earns the right to design his very own Magic card. Who is invited? Duplicate Limited (Sealed Deck format in which each player receives exactly the same cards) Solomon Draft (two-player draft format in which one player divides the cards into two piles and the other selects which pile to draft) Standard Type 1 Block Party (Constructed format in which each player builds his deck from a block, such as the Urza block, of his choice) When and where will the Invitational be held? At Pro Tour events, each round special duels called "feature matches" are selected. These feature matches give spectators a chance to watch up close as top competitors battle one another for pride and profit. The Magic Invitational is a tournament of feature matches. With the Top 16 players in the world competing in five different skill-testing formats, the event is guaranteed to be a spectator's delight.
